    Die Monnow Bridge ist die einzige erhaltene mittelalterliche befestigte Flussbrücke in Großbritannien, auf der der Torturm steht. Als solche ist die Brücke denkmalgeschützt und wurde als Scheduled Monument ausgewiesen. Der lokalen Tradition zufolge wurde 1272 mit dem Bau begonnen, um eine normannische Holzbrücke zu ersetzen.
