We tried two other routes between Himber and Happerschoß.
Next time I'll do the tour the other way around, because it's a miserably long climb from Oberpleis to Himberg. I'm more for short and crisp 😁
But there are other alternatives that I'll definitely have a look at.

Beautiful bike tour through very beautiful places on the Rhine.
It was actually a bit too much road, but from Himberg to Linz only three cars overtook us. So the traffic is limited. 😁
In Linz, Unkel and Bad Honnef there are very nice corners and many opportunities to stop off. As always when I'm out on

A nice day, a nice tour 😁. Nice flat and easy to drive. The collection of large historical buildings is exciting. Nevertheless, you have to be willing to compromise. The area is strongly characterized by a lot of industry. A few km of bike paths on busy roads are included.

Unfortunately the fog did not clear in the afternoon either. Therefore we shortened the planned tour. We weren't really set for 2 degrees and high humidity.
But otherwise the tour was good and will certainly be done again in full if the weather is better.

A leisurely bike ride from Winningen to Hatzenport and back.
Very scenic and easily navigable paths. Very nice places with many places to stop for a break.
But for me the street noise was just too much. Therefore, I will probably explore the area on foot another time to have more distance from the main road.

A beautiful round with magnificent views of the mountains.
Without an e-bike, I would only hike the tour. 😁
