Yes, a very nice and sunny tour 🌞☘️👍 a few degrees more and it would have been perfect 👌 but that will come ☘️✌️
The leisure cyclists cycled on the Bückeburg country tour today. A very nice tour, which can also be found at https://www.landtour-bueckeburg.de. Unfortunately, the Hotel Bad Hiddenserborn on the Mittelland Canal is closed Mon-Wed. The beer garden has always been popular with day trippers in the past - and would have been nice to have it in the middle of the route. At the end of the day, after a circuit around the Bückeburg Castle Park, we were still in the Mavendus coffee shop. Homemade cakes, tarts and cupcakes. Small but nice. The tour was fun for all of us, although it was quite "May chilly" for May 2nd.
We like to ride on signposted tourist bike paths and judge them, albeit sometimes with a critical eye. Today it was the turn of the 50 km long circuit "Landtour Bückeburg". The arrival and departure by train from the Hanover metropolitan area was too expensive for us, so we traveled to the start by car. Bückeburg itself is worth the journey and offers various sights with corresponding photo motifs. If you want to do a mountain stage on the route over the Harrl, you are welcome to do so up to the Ida Tower and have good views up there and the opportunity to stop. We preferred to take the pensioners' route and didn't want to overstrain our organic bike. Otherwise, the many announced catering establishments along the route are more likely to be open on weekends. The highlight for us was the mausoleum near Baum Castle, which we did not know in contrast to the other two burial sites, but which could only be found with a little scavenger hunt. Otherwise, the path through the Schaumburg Forest is rather frustrating because of the many clearings with catastrophic path conditions, which fortunately did not affect our route. The ride at the end through the nature reserve of the Bückeburger Niederung upgrades the whole round trip a bit. Have a good rest and relaxation with the descendants - in any case, we came back relaxed.
In icy but nice weather, we followed an official route today. We moved our starting point because we could get on the tour faster that way. A really nice round, through fields, quaint old villages, light-flooded beech forests and past many bodies of water. The highlight is the castle and the old town of Bückeburg. We took the Bad Eilsen section out of the tour because it was only on major roads and without a highlight. The time of year was ideal for the round trip, and it's definitely great in spring too, when the trees sprout.
Today was a nice round around Bückeburg. First to the Gevattersee, then through the shady Bredenbruch with a short visit to the Baum hunting lodge, which can again be used for various events. Via small villages we reached Achum, where a break in the Deelen coffee shop was announced. Can be recommended... Our route continued to/through Bad Eilsen up to the Harrl. In the shade of the trees we got back to the castle in Bückeburg, where a large medieval market was taking place. There was a lot going on there. Then another ice cream from the Italian and it's back to home. Conclusion: Today was a short but very nice tour in the best weather.
Unfortunately, this tour was not recorded to the starting point!
A dream day👌 only the closed café at the turning point was a real shame. The condition of the path is mostly very good, the signage is very good. The route follows a suggestion from the tourist information office.
