After a relaxing seven-hour train ride from Merzig, we headed out of the Saar Valley, always slightly uphill. On the panoramic plateau, always along the border with France, we then descended through magnificent vineyards into the Moselle Valley. If the stiff breeze hadn't been blowing so hard from the front, it would have only been the actual elevation gain.

Since flying and rail travel are currently rather unfavorable, alternatives must be found. That's why I travel 🧳 by bike. once around the Saarland. 😊

Had a very fat tour from Rehlingen-Siersburg to Remich today and met great, nice people. I'm happy to continue like this! ☺️
