The entrance to the trail is, if you do not go to GPS (Komoot) not everywhere clearly visible, since the way z.T. over pastures. Drive from the club house SAC Grenchen in the pasture along the cow trail to a cow gate. Then enjoy the great view for the first time and then it goes across the pasture down until you cross a gravel road at an alpine hut. Behind another Kuhgatter you come on the S2 Trail to Bettlachberg Alp.

The Bützen is the highest point on the direct route between the Bettlachberg and the Untergrenchenberg. It is a plateau with a farmhouse and some cow meadows. There is a bench and a fireplace. And a geotechnical information sign. Most of the time cows graze here in summer. You have a beautiful view towards the Alps. Bikers can usually reach the Bützen via the steep Bützen Trail.
