The building was destroyed inside in a mysterious attack (March 20, 1954). After restoration from 1992 to 1997, the town hall was restored to its former beauty, and the painting in the plenary hall was also reconstructed.
In the winter of 2010/2011, the ceiling painting in the mayor's office was made visible again and professionally restored.

The first written mention of the town hall dates from 1274. Remarkable details: terracotta in the court arbor (probably from 1530) and an old sundial.

As today's town hall was built in 1905 in the Art Nouveau style, with parts of the previous building such as medieval court arbor and the cellar was included.
