The former Cistercian monastery of St. Mary was founded in the 12th century and looks back on a rich history. After the Reformation, it and its lands became a purely agricultural enterprise.
Today, the Friends of Kloster Buch e.V. association ensures that the historic complex is preserved, faithfully restored, and made accessible to visitors.
