Even for locals it is currently not clear why the “Red House” was painted yellow about 3 months ago 😏
This “Red House” is also one of the four (still preserved) miniature castles that exist around Osthofen. The hexagonal neo-Gothic tower with a crenellated wreath was built around 1900. More information: osthofen.de

The vineyard tower "Red Cottage" is located in the vineyards of Osthofen, behind the cemetery. From there you have a great view of the Wonnegau and the mountain road.
From the cycle path that leads through the old Herrnsheimer Weg, an extremely steep road leads to the tower. It is easier to reach it from the cemetery.
