"This weir at the branch of an old mill canal supplied a sawmill with water. At the same time, the transport of wood from the Legelbach stream was ensured.
The wood was floated into the Speyerbach during the day, and water was channeled into the mill canal at night. This fed the mill pond, which operated the mill during the day. This made both possible: transporting wood and operating the sawmill."

It used to be our bathing place because it is deep and sandy in the Speyerbach ... but very cold.
