Vandring
White soft sandy beach relatively undisturbed a couple of miles south of town. The nearby saltworks are interesting to visit, and just a few hundred yards inlands back on the road to the salines are some mudponds popular with enthusiasts of health and fun baths in the salty mud.
A mile south is the marker for the Battlefield of Pydna, where Macedonians in 168 BC suffered a decisive defeat that eventually ended their independence from Rome en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Pydna
