For a really worthwhile two euros you get access to the entire castle area and you can also see more of the ruins. The highlight, however, is the castle tower: from its top you can see over the city and a large part of the valley. The view is really fantastic and the tower can also be accessed at night, although it is a bit dimly lit.

Wertheim Castle is one of the most beautiful and largest castle ruins in Germany. Impressive is the magnificent view over the old town with the river landscapes of Main and Tauber. The landmark of the town Wertheim is one of the most popular destinations between Spessart and Odenwald.
Opening times of the castle ruin:
9 am until dusk
Admission: 2 euros
Castle restaurant
hot meals
from mid-March: Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 11 clock throughout
April to October: daily from 11 o'clock onwards
November and December: Friday through Sunday from 11am on
Closed in January and February
