The Grossenheersen windmill is an octagonal building that was built in 1863. The Müllerhaus right next door is now a country inn where you can get drinks and food during a break. You can find information here: zurmuehlenwirtin.de

The country inn Zur Mühlenwirtin in Großenheerse is a wonderfully preserved destination in the countryside. Since Pentecost 2018, it has been offering overnight accommodation, hot meals and sunny times in the coffee garden for families and friends. The country inn is also a popular place for events such as brunch, barbecues, weddings and club meetings. The opening times from May are as follows:
Wednesday: 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Thursday to Saturday: 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Sunday: 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

The Großenheerse windmill (mill route no. 8) is always a nice destination for cyclists. Especially since, in addition to the functioning mill, there has been an attractive mill café with an attached guest house for 30 years. Since the reopening in 2018, it has been called the country inn "Zur Mühlenwirtin" (owner: Ulrike Graba-Fleischer). Tel. (05765) 7330. Please note the opening times!
