Briest Manor was built in 1624 and rebuilt in 1839 after a fire. It is considered one of the last remaining aristocratic residences of its kind in Northern Germany.

Briest Castle is a stately home made of oak wood, built according to the inscription in 1624 in the transitional forms from late Renaissance to early Baroque. It is one of the last remaining noble seats of this kind in northeastern Germany. The chapel Briest was built in 1599 as the first Protestant chancel in the Altmark in half-timbered construction. The chapel donated Hypolita von Bismarck and her brother-in-law Christoph von Alvensleben. The castle was since its construction until 1945 in the possession of the family of Bismarck and was bought back after the German reunification of her and redeveloped.
