If you enter the Palmengarten via Siesmayerstrasse, you walk through a house that was built in 1906 as part of the newly built showrooms and greenhouses. With the construction of the Tropicarium in the 1980s, these houses disappeared. Only the former central hall with its 15 meter high glass dome remained, was rotated 90 degrees and rebuilt as an entrance showroom. To the right and left of the dome construction there are interesting things to discover on the upper floor: the collection of carnivores and that of tillandsias, both of which the palm garden is known for.
