Vandring
While the masses make a pilgrimage to the viewpoint on the west side, which is being warned about their visit since 2019, as a huge landslide threatens, one is completely alone on this path on the east side.

Vandring
Svinafellsjökull from the west is a lonely walk on a small path, sometimes exposed. Surefootedness makes things easier. While on the east side the tourist masses from the parking lot to the lookout point, you are alone here.
Especially nice as a small excursion from Svinafell Camping in the evening, when the cold air condenses over the ice.

Vandring
The Svinafellsjökull is very popular on the vantage point on the west side.
2019 is warned about access on the west side, as threatened by a huge landslide.
The hike on the east side is absolutely lonely and hardly known so far. You will be rewarded with sensational views.
