Cykling
In 1813 the town suffered heavily during the Wars of Liberation. For the 50th anniversary, a Monument to the Battle of the Nations was erected here, which today still commemorates the victims of the wars. On the top of the memorial column is an eagle that was removed after 1945 and replaced by a new one in 1999. On the pedestal of the memorial column is the inscription: "For the peace of the world we are all on guard".
