In 1949, the grinding operation was stopped here and the idyllically situated on Lasterbach between Ellar and Dorchheim Neumühle (in the vernacular "Old Oylemiehl" is the decay revealed.) Too bad!

Idyllically situated mill ruins on the Lasterbach stream between Ellar and Dorchheim. Unfortunately, it has fallen into disrepair. It's a shame, because you can still clearly see how beautiful it must have once been...
Locally known as the "Oulemiehl" (oil mill), it was converted into an oil and barley mill in 1919, which also ground rapeseed, nuts, and linseed.
In 1949, milling operations were finally discontinued – now the mill is increasingly collapsing. What a pity!
