Parts of a previous building from the 14th century were found in the walls of the ruins of Hertefeld Castle. In the centuries that followed, the lords of the castle repeatedly had something rebuilt or added until the castle burned down in the Second World War. Then part of the ruin was rebuilt. You can spend the night there today in a historical atmosphere.
