Vandring
This Vosges sandstone railway viaduct spans the Zorn Valley, the Marne-Rhine Canal, and the road below. Built in the 19th century for the Paris-Strasbourg line, it originally had five arches – hence its local name in the dialect, "5 Torre" (five arches). Destroyed during the Second World War, it was rebuilt with only three arches.
From the towpath, the bridge offers a superb view, especially when its reflection forms a perfect circle in the canal water. With a bit of luck, you might even see a train pass overhead.
