You will cycle this going to and from Stirling on the Clackmannanshire side (East side). Apparently, the reason for the Welsh name in Central Scotland is that the Romans bought some Welsh labourers there to help build the things like the Antonine wall.The Welsh labourers named the area with this name. Pleasant wee place to cycle through.
