The Hohle Gasse is an artificial ravine between Küssnacht and Immensee in Switzerland. In 1307, Wilhelm Tell is said to have shot the Habsburg bailiff Hermann Gessler in Hohlen Gasse. In Friedrich Schiller's drama Wilhelm Tell, Tell (IV, 3) says: “He has to come through this hollow alley. There is no other way to Küssnacht. "
Today's Hohle Gasse was once the road from Küssnacht to Immensee. When the traffic increased, a bypass road was built in 1937, which relieved the Hohle Gasse from motorized road traffic. The old street was narrowed with the help of stone blocks.

The rocky path is surrounded by large stones on the sides, and these stones are a home for lush green moss. The beautiful, unique atmosphere that you can experience here is unforgettable. Cycling is not permitted here. Parallel to this path there is also a gravel path that pilgrims use for the return journey.

A very special alleyway on the way to or from the Tell Chapel. It's paved with large stones that require sure footing. Large stones along the sides are covered in moss, offering hikers a unique experience.
