Vandring
The Lawala Pass is a high mountain pass in Bhutan, situated at an altitude of approximately 3,300 meters. It serves as the gateway to the Phobjika Valley and lies on the border of the Bumthang and Mongar districts. The pass is renowned for its stunning views, which on clear days extend to distant, snow-capped peaks. Visitors can hang prayer flags at the pass as a symbolic gesture.

Vandring
From Wangdue in the west, the route is easily accessible by road bike, including the descent down to Gangtey and onward to the plateau. The elevation gain from the bottom to the pass is approximately 2200 meters.
