The popular Empress Elisabeth of Austria loved long walks. From the city center of Merano, past quiet corners, stately villas, enchanted residences and old parks, you can walk in their footsteps to the imperial holiday home of Trauttmansdorff Castle. On the way from the gardens to the Kaiserin-Elisabeth-Park in the center of Merano, many places commemorate their stay in the spa town. The well-signposted " Sissi-Weg " is easy to handle, even with a pram and wheelchair.
