Heinsberg Castle is the ruin of a Randhausburg built on a motte (tower hill castle) in the North Rhine-Westphalian district town of Heinsberg. The area known as Burgberg and Kirchberg was expanded into a bastion fortress in the 16th century.

Heinsberg, a town just across the border, has attracted many Dutch people for years who go there for a day of shopping. The church of St. Gangolf with the tomb of the Herren von Heinsberg is worth a visit.
