Gradina / Fort van Tuzla

Gradina, also known as Fort van Tuzla, holds significant historical importance as a former Ottoman defensive fortress. Built by the Muslims of Tuzla in 1683 after the second siege of Vienna, it served as the central point of defense for Tuzla. Later, during the Austro-Hungarian occupation, it was converted into a powder magazine. Today, it stands as one of the rare, partially preserved monuments from the Ottoman period in Tuzla, offering a glimpse into the city's strategic past.

While there are no extensively marked or formally designated hiking trails directly within the immediate ruins of Gradina / Fort van Tuzla, various paths lead up to the Gradina hill.
