Poulithra is a nice coastal village a little south of Leonidio on the Myrtoan Sea coast, at the foot of the eastern Parnon mountains. The community, including the small inland village Pyrgoudi, is a designated traditional settlement, which has preserved its traditional colours and architecture. The village has Myrtoo Sea beaches with sand and pebbles.
Since 2017 it has been part of the Natura 2000 network, with the code name The acropolis of the ancient city is located on the hill next to the harbour of the village, where remains of an ancient castle/fortress and Byzantine walls are preserved. poulithra.org/en
