This stone fountain in Chalandritsa, a historic village, is a typical example of the region's traditional stonemasonry and often serves as a welcome landmark and water source for cyclists.
The settlement has a long history, dating back to the Paleolithic and Mycenaean eras. In the Middle Ages, it was the seat of the important Barony of Chalandritsa within the Principality of Achaia.
