The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, completed in 1823, is one of the oldest surviving buildings in the city. In 1642, the Borisov mayor laid the foundation for the first Catholic church in the city on this site, but the building was wooden and burned down in 1806. A few months later, construction began on a new stone church in the late classicism style.
