Cykling

The Ilmenauradweg is peppered with boards and knows about special features. Without this board 24, you would pass Bardowick and St. Dionys at this point without knowing what is there. The inland dune hides in the pine forest.

During a drilling at the local inland dune, it was found that the layer of soil formation is approx. 25 cm thick - just as powerful as in the dune-free environment. This indicates that the Bardowicker Binnendüne is of glacial origin and thus over 10,000 years old!
