The old train station is a nice place to stop by. So I chose it as my destination. You sit very nicely on the terrace, the staff is friendly and the kitchen is good and inexpensive.

Zell (Mosel) is an hour's drive from both Koblenz and Trier, pretty much halfway between these two cities. Neighboring town towards Koblenz is Cochem, neighboring towns towards Trier are Traben-Trarbach and Bernkastel-Kues. To the Frankfurt-Hahn airport on the Hunsrück and to the spa town of Bad Bertrich in the Voreifel: each ½ hour's drive. The districts lying on the river, the old town, Kaimt and Merl are at an altitude of about 100 m above sea level. NHN on a distinctive Moselle loop.
