This church is the oldest in the country. Built in 1756. Worth seeing is the open roof truss, a filigree latticework of tropical woods. Opposite is the cemetery, here are colonial politicians and sugar barons buried.

Great building ... very impressive and diagonally across the street from the bus stop for those who have to go to the northern communities
