In the period from 1945-1990, Kumrovec was probably the most famous village in Yugoslavia. The birthplace of the "greatest son of our peoples" as the media beat him in those years is still beautifully landscaped and the whole village was restored at the end of the 19th century.
There were many prominent politicians and statesmen here, in addition to the birth house, there are other houses in which life from the end of the last century was shown. Definitely worth a visit.
