Located in Tabanan, the temple stands on a large offshore rock that has been continuously sculpted by the ocean tides over the years.
It can only be entered for prayers at low tide.
Tourists are not allowed to enter.

Pura Tanah Lot means land in the middle of the sea and is located on a rocky point in the sea close to the shore. The temple can only be reached on foot at low tide. At the foot of the rock there is a small cave with a freshwater spring. This holy spring is constantly looked after by a priest and for a small fee you can wash your hands or face with the water or even take a drink. You are not allowed into the temple! The temple is particularly beautiful at sunset.
