The Beetz-Sommerfeld station consists of a reception building, goods shed, outbuildings, forecourt and access road. The breakpoint Beetz-Sommerfeld was created in 1898/99 on the railway line Kremmen-Meyenburg. Today, the RE 6 operates here on the route between Berlin-Gesundbrunnen and Wittenberge.

Cykling
In order to operate the planned additional service on the currently largely single-track line between Velten and Neuruppin, several sections are needed where trains can meet. One of these is the 6.7-kilometer section between Kremmen and Beetz-Sommerfeld. This will require the relocation of a second track, the modification of three level crossings, the expansion of four crossings, and the construction of two new signal boxes. The new track is designed for speeds of up to 120 km/h. More information about the project can be found at i2030.de/nordwest.
