The village of Kibergino is located on the elevated left bank of the Nerl River.
Since the 17th century, the Predtechensky Monastery existed in the village. It had two churches: in the name of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity and in honor of the Beheading of John the Baptist. In the 17th century, the monastery had 53 peasant households and its own courtyard in the city of Suzdal in the Kremlin, which after its abolition was owned by the Archangel Monastery in the city of Yuryev-Polsky.
In 1652, the Predtechensky Monastery was assigned to the Storozhevsky St. Savva Monastery in Zvenigorod.
