The historic washing staircase is in close proximity to the Glan-Blies cycle path and the idyllic Dietschweiler mill. Opposite is a nice seat for a short break.

Historic Wash Steps in Dietschweiler:
Below the Dietschweiler Mill on the Glan River lies the former community washhouse, known locally as the "Wäschbach" or "Waschtreppe" (washing stream). The facility was built in 1889 and was regularly used until the 1950s and 1960s.
With the construction of the railway in 1904, the Glan River was relocated, which also slightly changed the location of the washhouse. In 1986, the historic washsteps were renovated and listed as a historical monument.
Today, a seating area with a table invites you to linger at this historic site.
