The baroque Kessler Madonna by Johann Joseph Kessler from Bad Königshofen, dated around 1755, found its place here after restoration. It is a unique piece of history. The baroque sculptor created other works in the area and was the best-known representative of his art from Königshofen at the time.

A festival weekend is planned in Unteressfeld in August. In this context, the Kessler Madonna, restored by the Association for Local History with the support of the district of Lower Franconia, the city of Bad Königshofen and the district of Rhön-Grabfeld and a generous private donor, will also be erected. It gets a new location directly at the main entrance of the Unteressfeld church, to the left of the staircase.

The rectory in Untereßfeld, a district of Bad Königshofen im Grabfeld, was built in 1612 in the Renaissance style. The house, located at Am Herrenhof 1, is a protected architectural monument. The two-story building with a gable roof is solidly constructed on a high cellar and features an open staircase. The corners are ashlar. The property also includes an outbuilding from the 17th/18th century and a courtyard wall with a gate bearing the date 1710.
