The foundry began operating before World War II, dealing with iron castings.
In 1955, it was nationalized and transformed into a state-owned iron casting company, which increased the scale of production and employment – until the political transformation, there were as many as three plants employing a total of about 1,200 people.
The activity lasted until 2002, when the company declared bankruptcy.
