The former St. Vincent Cathedral, now church, on the far Eastern side of the large square in the center of Chalon-sur-Saône, with a modern fountain in the middle and framed by late medieval half-timbered architecture. The Roman Catholic church is a former cathedral, it was the seat of the Bishop of Chalon. The diocese was abolished by the Concordat of 1801 and was absorbed by the Diocese of Autun.
