Cykling
Mount Aigoual, at an altitude of 1,565 meters, is one of the southernmost peaks of the Massif Central mountain range.
It also lies on the border between the Gard and Lozère departments. Here you'll find a weather station, as well as a snack bar and refreshment bar.
On a clear day, the panorama is exceptional, offering views stretching from the Alps to the Pyrenees, and from the Puy de Sancy to the Mediterranean.
Beware of sudden temperature changes and wind.

The highest point in the Gard (1567 m) is a fascinating site. Difficult access in winter, extreme conditions, an aerial battle between oceanic and Mediterranean flows, roughly from plus to minus 28 degrees, brrr… And then gusts recorded at over 300 km / h and a mess of rain - more 2 meters per year, don't forget that Aigoual comes from water - and snow and fog! What ? Touristy, this hell? Certainly ! This oasis of freshness in summer touches the stars, deciphers the weather and promises an exceptional panorama over nearly a quarter of France!
