The ancient birch tree grows on the former earth cellar of the rectory. The corresponding entrance can still be found at the base of the birch, on the side facing away from the path, as a small cave entrance.
The tree was once honored by the Sundsvale newspaper as the thickest birch tree, with a diameter of 4 meters. It now measures approximately 5 meters.
