A beautiful tribute to the Canning Woman, who was of great importance to Portimão's economy, especially during the dictatorship in the 20th century.
At that time, women had few labor rights and yet played an important role as wives and mothers, while their husbands usually worked in fishing or agriculture.
The sculpture is located next to the Portimão Museum.
