The Ostritz train station is no longer located on the German side, but on the Polish side in Krzewina Zgorzelecka. The railway line from Görlitz to Zittau leaves Germany for a short stretch and runs along the Polish side. This is why a small German town has a Polish train station. The railway line was built starting in 1873 and went into operation on October 15, 1875. More information about the railway line and the station on the Polish side can be found at: alles-lausitz.de/ostritzer-bahnhofstation-auf-polnischem-territorium.html
