This makes this house a rare architectural gem and is listed as a historic monument in the Ludwigslust district.
People and animals lived under a thatched roof. To the right in front was the cowshed, to the left the horse stable, and behind it the small animals. Then came the kitchen and smokehouse, and to the rear (west) was the living area with three rooms and tiled stoves. The pigs were housed separately in the small building to the left of the house. Further back is a wooden beehive.
