Old canal port
The old Ludwig-Danube-Main Canal was put into operation in 1846 after eleven years of construction.
The Stadtknechtgasse leads to the old canal port. The walled canal trough contains lock no. 1, the harbor basin with crane, storage hall and lock house. The 600 m long structure is protected as a monument of engineering architecture, remains functional and can also be used.
