Climbing towards Crestline using the Old Waterman Canyon Road offers a significantly steeper 3 miles averaging 8-9%, with ramps hitting 10-12% . It's generally a quieter alternative to sections of the main CA-18 north of San Bernardino. On it, you'll experience the intense, winding ascent through the forested canyon, enjoying views back over the basin as you gain altitude.
