The Arizona Trail runs right through Double Springs Campground, an official National Forest Service campground. It officially opens on May 1st of each year and is then subject to a fee. Hikers can use it before that, but the toilets are still locked and the drinking water is still switched off. But benches and fire bowls can be used.
