At this point, the Arizona Trail takes you to the Rock Crossing Campground, an official campground of the National Forest Service. Officially, it opens on May 1 of each year and is then chargeable. Before that, hikers can use it, however, the toilets are then still closed, the drinking water is still switched off. Benches and fire bowls are usable.
