Very steep climb to the summit. Sure-footedness and a head for heights are being put to the test, as even lightweight climbing sites have to be mastered. Ropes hang on the most difficult places.

Climb to the very top of the Kirkjufell only if you have decent rock walls climbing experience. There are a few moments where you have to climb a few meters on almost a vertical wall.
We climbed the Kirkjufell summit in relatively bad weather — cloudy and with little rain. The rocks and ropes were a little slippery. We had climbed indoors multiple times, and this was still challenging for us. We make it with caution in 2.5 hours. Good climb!
