Vandring
The Dictaean Cave, or Psychro Cave, is a magnet for visitors. If you like, you can ride a donkey up the main route for a lot of money. But you can also climb on the (northern) side route and hardly meet anyone (off-season).

In the low season adequate 3 € / person (instead of 6 €). Tip: park at the bottom of the village and walk the short path to the cave. The main car park seems to be chargeable.

What distinguishes this stalactite cave from the average is that according to Greek mythology, the upper god "Zeus" was said to have been born there. In the Hellenistic period, this was a sacred place, as evidenced by many valuable finds that can now be admired in the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. Access to the cave is accessible by MTB.
